耶稣出来，戴着荆棘冠冕，穿着紫袍。彼拉多对他们说，你们看这个人。
Then came Jesus forth, wearing the crown of thorns, and the purple robe. And Pilate saith unto them, Behold the man!
祭司长和差役看见他，就喊着说，钉他十字架，钉他十字架。彼拉多说，你们自己把他钉十字架吧。我查不出他有什么罪来。
When the chief priests therefore and officers saw him, they cried out, saying, Crucify him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Take ye him, and crucify him: for I find no fault in him.
犹太人回答说，我们有律法，按那律法，他是该死的，因他以自己为神的儿子。
The Jews answered him, We have a law, and by our law he ought to die, because he made himself the Son of God.
又进衙门，对耶稣说，你是那里来的。耶稣却不回答。
And went again into the judgment hall, and saith unto Jesus, Whence art thou? But Jesus gave him no answer.
那日是逾越节的日子，约有午正。彼拉多对犹太人说，看哪，这是你们的王。
And it was the preparation of the passover, and about the sixth hour: and he saith unto the Jews, Behold your King!
他们喊着说，除掉他，除掉他，钉他在十字架上。彼拉多说，我可以把你们的王钉十字架吗。祭司长回答说，除了凯撒，我们没有王。
But they cried out, Away with him, away with him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Caesar.
彼拉多说，我所写的，我已经写上了。
Pilate answered, What I have written I have written.
站在耶稣十字架旁边的，有他母亲，与他母亲的姊妹，并革罗吧的妻子马利亚，和抹大拉的马利亚。
Now there stood by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalene.
又对那门徒说，看你的母亲。从此那门徒就接他到自己家里去了。
Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home.
有一个器皿盛满了醋，放在那里。他们就拿海绒蘸满了醋，绑在牛膝草上，送到他口。
Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a spunge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth.
